About Me

I have been knitting and crocheting for over 60 years & been teaching for over 25 years. I am self-taught so I teach tips that won’t be found in books or videos; experimentation with different techniques has enabled me to discover the best & easiest way to achieve desired results. After retiring from a national computer company in ’95, I pursued my lifelong dream of having my own craft business.  “Carolyn’s Heirloom Creations” is the result of that perseverance.

I attended Craft Yarn Council of America and have successfully completed instructor program which contained advanced techniques and designs that helped me earn first, second, & third place ribbons at the North Carolina State Fair.

In recent years, I’ve become involved in making jewelry, and have found that I love that even more than knitting & crocheting.  There’s much more flexibility with designs & colors, and there’s a lot less time involved in creating something from start to finish.
